My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This past week, the board met with some of the Connie Maxwell staff through an online meeting. After speaking with the board and in concurrence with Dr. Danny Nicholson and his staff, it is with a saddened heart that we feel compelled at this time to cancel the reunion for this June. Also, the Board Meeting for March is also canceled. We feel that Covid 19 has not curtailed as much as needed for the safety of all involved. With vaccine shortages and the mortality rate still not trending in the right direction, we would not want to put anyone at risk. If it happens to start trending in the correct direction, it still would not give us the time needed to have a reunion that is up to our amazing standards.
Let me catch you up on a few of the projects that we have undertaken.
- The bricks for the President’s Walk have arrived and as soon as the weather allows, they will be put into place at the Heritage Park.
- Our project for enclosing the Pavilion is underway. I will try to keep you updated with the latest information. I know that the doors have already been ordered.

On another note, I know that all of us want to see that our (alumni) support for Connie Maxwell continues at this time. Please help by contributing in order that we have the means to pay for the reunion when that time comes. If each alumnus contributes a small amount, even $10.00, our reunion could be paid for ahead of time. So please try to send your contributions in ASAP. Thanks so much for all your help.
