Connie Maxwell Baptist Church is excited to announce the appointment of Ed Gidewall as its new Senior Pastor. Gidewall brings a deep commitment to ministry and a passion for serving the congregation and community.
Gidewall is a highly experienced and dedicated minister with a strong educational background. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC.
With a heart for serving others, Gidewall has demonstrated exceptional leadership in several ministry roles. He most recently served as the Pastor for High School/College & Young Adults at Second Baptist Church in Lancaster, SC, since June 2020. No stranger to Greenwood, Gidewall served as the Interim Senior Pastor at Emerald Baptist Church in Greenwood and Minister to Students at Harris Baptist Church in Greenwood.
Gidewall’s life mission to see people know Jesus in a real way, grow in their love and knowledge of Him, and see them go into the world and share His love by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others aligns with Connie Maxwell Children’s Ministries commitment bring children and families closer to Christ while meeting their needs.
