Our kids and staff are safe. However, our Greenwood Campus and Maxwell Farms experienced significant damage, with hundreds of trees down, numerous cottages and staff homes damaged or destroyed, and structures across campus damaged or destroyed.
Many have asked how they can help the children and families we serve. In addition to your prayers, a financial gift to our Hurricane Helene relief fund would help rebuild cottages, repair structures, remove debris, and replenish food lost during the power outage. Over 400 truckloads of trees and debris have been removed from the Greenwood Campus in the last ten days, and we anticipate hundreds more in the coming weeks.
Based on our earliest estimations, the economic loss to Connie Maxwell Children’s Ministries could be up to $500,000 in non-insurable damages.
If you would like to help the children and staff at Connie Maxwell, there are three ways to respond:
- Pray. Pray for our children, families, and staff who are still adjusting post Hurricane Helene.
- Donate. Make a gift below to our hurricane relief fund.
- Volunteer. We need specialized groups to operate chainsaws and heavy machinery, rebuild fencing, and do other projects. Please email Jules Thompson, Director of Volunteer Engagement, at jthompson@conniemaxwell.com for more details.
