We are thankful for the safety of our kids and staff during Hurricane Helene. However, we are still continuing our relief efforts, as our Greenwood Campus and Maxwell Farms experienced significant damage. In the aftermath, hundreds of trees were downed, numerous cottages and staff homes suffered damage, and structures across campus were either damaged or destroyed.
Many have asked how they can help the children and families we serve. In addition to your prayers, a financial gift to our Hurricane Helene relief fund would help rebuild cottages, repair structures, remove debris, and replenish food lost during the power outage.
The economic loss to Connie Maxwell Children’s Ministries is now estimated to be between $600,000-$650,000 in non-insurable damages.
If you would like to help the children and staff at Connie Maxwell, there are three ways to respond:
- Pray. Pray for our children, families, and staff who are still adjusting post Hurricane Helene.
- Donate. Make a gift below to our hurricane relief fund.
- Volunteer. We need specialized groups to rebuild fencing and do other projects. Please email Sue Lussier, Volunteer Coordinator, at slussier@conniemaxwell.com for more details.
