At Connie Maxwell, most children who come into our care have never experienced family gatherings and holiday traditions. So few know the joy of being together inside a home filled with love and compassion, much less during the Thanksgiving holidays.

We asked three of our children what Thanksgiving means to them, and here are their thoughts:

Jamonta: “I’m thankful for Jesus and my family and Connie Maxwell.”
Jamarie: “I am thankful for the food that people cook for me and the clothes I have.”
Jamonica: “A lot of food on the table. I know what ‘full’ means. It means ‘full of.’ So Thanksgiving means ‘full of thanks.'”

As you continue to stand in the gap for hurting children in your community, you are helping create more special experiences and lasting memories of Thanksgiving and so much more.

Together, we can create special lifelong memories.

Will you help provide the gift of family and traditions to our children here at Connie Maxwell Children’s Ministries this holiday season?

Here are some examples of how your gift helps our children:

  • $40.83 provides one day of care
  • $122.49 provides three days of care
  • $285.81 provides one week of care
  • $1224.90 provides one month of care
