Abused, abandoned, neglected children, and children going through difficult  situations, need love, security and a safe environment. Connie Maxwell Children's Home in Greenwood has been filling those needs since 1892. Today, seventy-two children  reside in nine family-styled homes on the main campus in Greenwood. Randy McManus is the Campus Administrator. An additional eight children live at the  Cooper Nixon Shelter Care. Crystal Champion oversees the work at Cooper Nixon Shelter Care.  The children, from elementary school to middle school to high school, are  involved in public education and are encouraged to participate in  extracurricular activities. It is our goal to give children in need the best of care!  Connie Maxwell's goal is to reunite children with their families whenever possible; therefore, our practice is to have the family or custodian live as close as possible, as we serve the residents of South Carolina. Randy McManus is also our Intake Administrator on the Greenwood Campus and she can be reached by calling 1 (864) 942-1400 or 1 (800) 868-2624. You may write  us at P.O. The Marie Younts Home is located in Mauldin. This residential care facility houses six girls in its  initial program. The students are  involved at Mauldin High School in all facets of school life. The girls are also quite active in a local South  Carolina Baptist Church participating in Bible  study, worship and missions. Area churches and businesses are getting  involved in the  lives of these teenage girls and discovering the real  joy in providing tender loving care.
